Hometown: Concord, NC

Family: Dad Walt, Mom Kathy & Sister Jen

Favorite Food: Mexican, Chinese, Thai and Italian

Chris’s first memory of racing was a story he heard from his Dad, Walt, who liked to tell his son how he was the first person to race down the stip at Englishtown.  The track was under construction, but Walt was able to take his bike down the quarter mile.

Chris’s first time down the quarter mile was in a junior dragster.  He went on to become the team champion at the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals in Reading, PA.  He even won a coveted Wally for that accomplishment.  Fast forward a few years, and Chris had the opportunity to make a sub-one-second-60-foot- time launch in a top alcohol funny car.

Between working on the Dote Racing Top Fuel Dragster on weekends, working as a mortgage escrow analyst during the week, he keeps up his driving skills by circle track racing in his spare time.  This last May, he got a 78’ Chevy Nova street stock that he races in Hickory, North Carolina.
